The Beast at Collective, Edinburgh

25 June – 15 September

The Beast, a new installation, opens at Collective’s City Dome. An animation, presented alongside research material, focuses on the Scottish/American steel magnate Andrew Carnegie and his namesake Diplodocus carnegii. The exhibition explores intersecting ideas around power, exploitation, culture and the history of capitalism. The script has been co-written with Marxist magician Ian Saville, features character animation by Regina Ohak and sound by Ross Downes. The animation features the voices of Keeley Forsyth and Dave Anderson.
